Don Juan Manuel (Escalona, \u200b\u200b5/5/1282, Córdoba, 06/13/1348), also called "the prince writer" by scholars of history and literature, was of noble birth, since was the grandson of Ferdinand III and nephew of Alfonso X the Wise, but not for the title of infant erroneously attributed to him, for he was the son of the king. Falconry, or hunting with falcons, was introduced into Spain by the Romans, becoming in the Middle Ages and modern sport of kings and nobles.
